THUNDER BAY – On Sunday, June 24, 2018, Thunder Bay Police Service uniform officers attended a Limbrick Street address regarding a serious assault that had occurred involving two adult victims. As a result of an investigation completed by Uniform Patrol, the Criminal Investigations Branch and the Community Response Team the following people have been arrested and charged:

Kevin Moore (38-years)

CC 268 AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
CC 267(A) ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
CC 266 ASSAULT
CC 279(2) FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT
CC 264.1(1)(A) UTTERING THREATS
CC 264.1(1)(A) UTTERING THREATS
CC 264.1(1)(A) UTTERING THREATS
CC 733.1(1) BREACH PROBATION

Rick Sakakeesic (30-years)

CC 268 AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
CC 267(A) ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
CC 279(2) FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT ETC.
CC 733.1(1) BREACH PROBATION x3

Both accused are in custody. Kevin Moore’s next court date is today. Rick Sakakeesic’s next court date is July 9, 2018.

One of the victims required medical attention as a result of the assault. The victims and accused were known to each another.

This investigation is on-going and investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the Thunder Bay Police Service – Criminal Investigations Branch at 684-1200.
