SIOUX LOOKOUT – The Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing their investigation into a sexual assault that occurred in March of 2016.

The investigation surrounds an incident where a 15-year-old female was picked up on the side of Highway 72 near the Lamplighter Inn by an unknown male and driven to a residence. Once inside the residence, the male sexually assaulted the female and then drove her to a separate location, where she was able to contact police.

The male was described as Caucasian, in his 40’s or 50’s, and he wore glasses and had heavy facial stubble. He was medium height with a bit of a “tummy”, and had a higher pitched voice (see attached sketch provided).

The vehicle the male was driving is described as an older model, small four-door silver car with an automatic transmission and the gear shifter between the front seats. The glove box was leather and the windows were not tinted.

Police are urging people to review the sketch and if they believe they recognize anyone that looks similar or have any information regarding the person responsible for the assault to please phone Detective Constable Amanda MAURE at the Sioux Lookout OPP Detachment at 1-807-737-2020 or by calling 1-888-310-1122.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or submit a tip online at www.tipshelp.com where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000.
