THUUNDER BAY – DAYSTARTER – Greetings Northwestern Ontario. The Extreme Cold Warnings which were in effect across the region have mostly ended. Only the very far north regions including Fort Severn / Washaho Cree Nation and PEawanuck remain under the cold alerts. Temperatures are still cold and windchill values are still near minus forty, however.

For Thunder Bay today, expect cloudy conditions to break into a mix of sun and clouds. Winds will be up to 15 km/h. Today’s high will be minus 16. Tonight, the low will be minus 29 with a windchill of minus 36.

The NFL Super Bowl saw the New England Patriots beaten and the Philadelphia Eagles win the NFL Championship.
