Police Seek Two Suspects in Mac’s Convenience Store Robbery

THUNDER BAY – There have been a number of robberies at Mac’s Convenience locations across the city in recent weeks. Thunder Bay Police report that just after midnight on January 25, 2018, officers attended the Mac’s Convenience Store on Oliver Road to investigate a robbery that had just occurred.

The 20-year-old male employee reported that two males entered the store with their face covered. One male produced a knife and demanded money out of the till while the second male took a number of cigarette packages.

Suspect #1 is described as being an Indigenous male approximately 5’8″ tall. He was wearing black pants with a white vertical stripe, a black hoodie with a very distinctive white Nike swoosh on the front. Suspect #2 is male with a thin build. He was wearing black pants with white stripes along the legs, a distinctive multi-colored plaid winter jacket, and a black hood.
