THUNDER BAY = The Thunder Bay Minor Football Association is proud to present a cheque for $2,653 to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation’s Northern Cancer Fund for breast cancer. “It was important to us to give back to the community, and with October being breast cancer awareness month, this was the perfect fit,” said Georgie Ostrowski, Special Events Coordinator of the Thunder Bay Minor Football Association.  “Funds were raised at every home game in October. It was a great success and we are hoping to raise even more money for the Northern Cancer Fund in 2018. We all know someone who has been touched by cancer, and we are happy that the proceeds will help to improve cancer care right here in Northwestern Ontario.”

The Health Sciences Foundation would like to thank the Thunder Bay Minor Football Association and every spectator at Delaney Arena who helped to make this contribution to the Northern Cancer Fund.
