Impaired Driver Arrested by OPP

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – On Monday, July 31, 2017 at approximately 4:48pm, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a traffic complaint, a possible impaired driver near One Island Lake, Unorganized Township.

An officer located the vehicle on Highway 589 and conducted a traffic stop.

While speaking with the driver, the officer determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further tests.

Jamie KRPAN, 38 years of age, from Thunder Bay was arrested and charged with:

-Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs of Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code,

KRPAN is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on September 19, 2017 to answer to the charge.
