Forest Fire Update

THUNDER BAY – Time of Report 16:30 – There were no new fires confirmed by the afternoon of July 12 in the Northwest Region but some reports were being investigated in the Sioux Lookout District at the time of this report.

The forest fire hazard is high in the northern portions of the region and low to moderate in the south. Heavy rain in some southern locations has reduced the forest fire hazard.

Out of Province Deployment

Ontario is sent over 140 personnel to help with the wildfire situation in British Columbia on July 11.
