THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was kept very busy for several hours in the early morning hours of Wednesday June 14th fighting several suspicious fires at the same time.  A fire investigation has now determined that these three fires, which occurred on the City’s south side, were purposely set.

“Area residents should be extra vigilant and ensure that all outbuildings are locked, gates are secure and yards well lit.  Suspicious activity should be reported to Police,” said Deputy Fire Chief Dave Paxton.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue along with the Office of the Fire Marshal, and staff from Thunder Bay Police has now completed the fire scene investigation into these fires which occurred in garages and sheds.

In one case the fire spread to a home and to a neighbor’s garage.
