Transit Drivers Threatened with Knife

THUNDER BAY – CRIME BEAT – Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to the Thunder Bay Transit bus terminal at Water Street just before 7:00PM EDT on April 23, 2017 in response to a report of a male threatening two transit drivers with a knife.

When police arrived they located the suspect on Camelot Street. Officers were able to arrest the male who was being very uncooperative with officers. The two male transit bus drivers were not injured in this incident.

Kelly Terrence Mesenegeesic, a forty-year-old male has been charged with two counts of Assault with Weapon, two counts of Uttering Threats, and Weapons chargess.

Mesenegeesic appeared in court this morning and has been remanded into custody.
