Environment Canada says there is a potential for a significant late-season snowfall Monday and Monday night.

Snow is expected to develop on Monday across portions of northwestern Ontario and become heavy at times in the afternoon and evening. Some areas may receive 10 to 20 cm by Tuesday morning. Gusty northeast winds to 50 km/h will produce some blowing snow as well.

For areas close to the Minnesota border, there is also a risk of some freezing rain or rain. As a result, snowfall accumulations are likely to be less than areas farther north.
