Freezing Rain Warning in Effect – March 26 2017

THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Travel today might be a challenge. Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the area.

Freezing rain warning in effect for:

  • City of Thunder Bay
  • Cloud Bay – Dorion
  • Kakabeka Falls – Whitefish Lake – Arrow Lake
  • Marathon – Schreiber
  • Nipigon – Rossport
  • Beardmore – Jellicoe – Macdiarmid
  • Wawa – Pukaskwa Park
  • White River – Dubreuilville

Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

Latest indications now show that freezing rain, approaching from Western Lake Superior, will arrive near noon today.

With temperatures near or slightly below the zero degree mark, freezing rain now appears likely in many areas this afternoon.

The freezing rain will end this evening.
