OPP Drug Investigation Leads to Charges

THUNDER BAY – The Ontario Provincial Police report that they have made drug arrests following a sixteen month investigation. Four Thunder Bay residents now face a total of ten drug charges.

Ontario Provincial Police report their investigation resulted in three search warrants being executed. As a result, police seized cocaine, marijuana, morphine, percocet pills, and drug paraphernalia.

OPP estimate the street value of the drugs at $60,000. Police also seized $3,355 in cash and $1,875 in pre-paid credit cards.

As a result, Andrew Vukmanich faces three counts of conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, and one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Kyle Gunsinger, a twenty-three-year-old faces charges of a single count of conspiracy to traffic in cocaine.

Jennifer Lunn-Hogan a forty-three-year-old woman is charged with one count of conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, one count of possession of cocaine, and one count of possession of morphine.

Fifty-nine-year-old Walter Paul Bannon is charged with one count of conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, along with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine.

The Walter Bannon who faces charges is NOT the Walter Michael Bannon who operates Bannon’s Gas Bar on Fort William First Nation. Walter Michael Bannon is also a candidate for Chief in FWFN’s election.
