THUNDER BAY – CRIME – The Thunder Bay Police Service Cyber Crime Unit report that the unit began an investigation in October 2016 as part of ongoing investigations of Child Pornography. Their continued investigation resulted in a search warrant being executed at a residence in the 100 block of Peter Street on November 2, 2016.

Officers seized two items: a computer and a USB drive. After a complete examination of the items was conducted evidence of Child Pornography was located.

On January 27, 2016, Michael Alexander BRITTON, a thirty-two-year-old male was arrested and has been charged with Make Available Child Pornography, and Possession of Child Pornography.

BRITTON appeared in court on Saturday January 28, 2017 and has been released with a future court date.
