THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Environment Canada has issued advisories across Northwestern Ontario for a Winter storm potentially starting late Christmas Day.

The weather service says, “A Colorado low is expected track across the Dakotas Christmas Day and Northwestern Ontario on Boxing Day. Current information suggests total snowfall amounts will range from 15 to 30 cm, combined with strong winds creating blowing snow and poor visibility”.

The snow is expected to move in from Minnesota state beginning the evening of Christmas Day and become more intense overnight.

Motorists travelling should take this into consideration when making their Christmas season plans.
