Parade of Lights Thrills Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY – The Parade of Lights in Thunder Bay for 2016 is in the books. It was a fantastic event, that coupled with incredible weather, huge crowds, and amazing floats brought a smile to everyone.

From the Polar Express, one of the most imaginative floats, right across the line, everyone both on a float, or watching was excited to see, and hear the best of the season here in Thunder Bay as the parade wound its way down Memorial Drive toward Water Street.

This is the first year that NetNewsLedger has carried the event live, and certainly will not be the last. Special thanks to our friends at Kasper Mini-Bus for providing us with our on-site studio in one of their Mercedes Benz Sprinter Buses.

The Parade of Lights is all part of an incredible effort that is supported by the continued support of the Thunder Bay Trucking Community.

Children with Special Needs in Thunder Bay received $24,310 last year because of the Parade of Lights. Autism Ontario – Thunder Bay & District Chapter, George Jeffrey Children’s Centre, Special Olympics – Thunder Bay & Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association children & youth benefit from both the donations and the increased awareness the Parade of Lights brings to their causes.
