Parts of Northern Ontario are under a Special Weather Statement

MARTEN FALLS – WEATHER – There is a Special Weather Statement issued by Environment Canada for parts of Northern Ontario. Heavy rain with amounts of 15-40 millimetres are expected by Wednesday afternoon. Rain is expected for this afternoon

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Fort Hope – Lansdowne House – Ogoki
  • Pikangikum – Poplar Hill – MacDowell
  • Sandy Lake – Weagamow Lake – Deer Lake
  • Pickle Lake – Cat Lake
  • Summer Beaver – Wunnummin Lake – Kingfisher Lake

Embedded thunderstorms are also possible which could result in locally higher amounts of 50 to 75 millimetres. The rain is expected to taper off Wednesday afternoon.
