THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police report that “The standoff involving a thirty-year-old barricaded male at the Kingsway Inn ended this morning just before 7:00AM EDT”.
The man was discovered at the scene and transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Kingsway is now open to traffic.
Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit has been contacted and will be investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
The TBPS will not be commenting further on this matter since this is a SIU investigation.
