Body of Hiker Located in Sleeping Giant Provincial Park

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – The Ontario Provincial Police report that they located the body of Dawn Fors. The fifty-five-year old woman was reported missing at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park on Friday.

The OPP report that they located Fors’ body at 10:55AM Saturday following a ground search.

The OPP found Thunder Bay’s Dawn Fors deceased at 10:55 a.m. Saturday after a 24-hour search.

The searchers included officers from the Thunder Bay OPP, the OPP North West Region Emergency Response Team, the OPP Canine Unit, the OPP Marine Unit and a Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry helicopter and crew.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted.

The OPP state that the investigation is ongoing.
