In the match-up with Erie, the bantam A’s skated out to a 2-0 lead after the opening stanza thanks to tallies from Caitlyn Olinski, who finished off a feed from Emma Winters, and Meadow Quachegan whose goal was the eventual difference maker.

The Lions dashed Gowanlock’s shutout bid in the latter stages of the third to round out the scoring.

Thunder Bay outshot Erie 16-12 overall.

The Queens return to the ice twice Saturday starting with the Rochester Edge at 10:55 a.m. before wrapping up round robin play with a 2:45 p.m. face-off vs. the Kensington Valley Ravens of Michigan.
