THUNDER BAY – SPORTS – On January 23rd 2009 wrestling fans packed inside the Maples Community Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba as a standing room only audience witnessed what would be the beginning of a wrestling revolution across the country of Canada.
Canadian Wrestling’s Elite began as a Winnipeg based wrestling organization that very quickly began one of the prominent wrestling organization across the nation.
From February 19th through February 27th Canadian Wrestling’s Elite will celebrate 7 years of operations with the 7th Anniversary Tour. This historic tour is the first of its kind for CWE who typically stays in one region per tour but for the first time ever will span 4 provinces with 8 shows in 9 days.
The tour kicks off in Fannystelle, Manitoba on the 19th, heads West to Yorkton, Saskatchewan on the 20th, returning to Sherwood Park, and Calgary for the company’s second shows in those markets ever on the 21st and 23rd, returning to Regina, Saskatchewan for the first time in 6 years on the 24th, back to the Westman region and Brandon, Manitoba on the 25th, home to Winnipeg, Manitoba on the 26th, and out East to Northwestern Ontario, and Thunder Bay for the first time since 2012.
The tour is headlined by international wrestling superstar, WWE & ROH Alumni Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana making his first appearances for the company.
Arguably one of the biggest names on the independent scene to never have a full length featured role in World Wrestling Entertainment, Colt Cabana is respected across the World as one of the most entertaining wrestlers of this generation.
Consistently booked across North America, Japan, and Europe Cabana has developed the largest underground cult following in professional wrestling that is highlighted with his World famous “Art Of Wrestling” podcast featuring superstar wrestling guests.
