Thunder Bay Police Investigating Robbery – Mac’s on Oliver Road

Mac'sTHUNDER BAY – CRIME – There were two robberies overnight. Thunder Bay Police are currently investigating the incidents.

The first robbery occurred at Mr.Sub on Red River Road at about 11:50PM EDT on Friday 24 April 2015. A lone male entered the store and jumped over the counter attempting to steal money.

The male ran off with a small amount of money and fled the area.

The second robbery occurred at Mac’s Mart on Oliver Rd at about 4:35AM on Saturday 25 April 2015.

A lone male entered the store brandishing a knife and fled on foot with the cash drawer from the store.

The suspect is described as 5’6”-5’8″ tall, slim build, wearing a blue hoodie with “NIKE” on the front, black pants, gloves, sunglasses and a bandana covering his face.

There were no injuries to staff in either robberies.

The investigation continues.
