THUNDER BAY – WEATHER- UPDATED – The word of the day is digging out. The snowfall warning has ended for Thunder Bay, Nipigon, Marathon, and Rossport.

In Thunder Bay, Lakehead School Transportation report:

TOTAL TRANSPORTATION CANCELLATION

Due to extremely poor road and weather conditions ALL RURAL and URBAN TRANSPORTATION has been CANCELLED for today.

  • Routes that are cancelled in the morning are also cancelled in the afternoon

The following Lakehead Public Schools are Closed

  • Crestview
  • Five Mile
  • Gorham Ware
  • Kakabeka Falls
  • McKenzie
  • Nor’wester View
  • Whitefish Valley
  • Valley Central

ALL OTHER SCHOOLS WILL REMAIN OPEN

Across Thunder Bay, City Crews are out ploughing out the snowfall.

At the Thunder Bay International Airport, a Westjet Flight to Toronto this morning has been cancelled. All other flights are on time.

Wasaya Airways reports – We would like to advise all our guests travelling with us today of possible delays, misconnects, and cancellations due to poor weather forecasted for Northwestern Ontario.
