THUNDER BAY = CRIME NEWS – The Criminal Investigations Branch of the Thunder Bay Police have arrested a second person in relation to the homicide on December 21, 2014.

Further investigation has led Investigators to a second address on Secord Street where a male was arrested on January 1, 2015.

The male was identified as the boyfriend of Monica Spence who has already been charged in this offence.

Charged is 39 year old Daniel Debassige. He appeared in court on January 2, 2015 charged with Second Degree Murder.

He was remanded in custody to the Thunder Bay District Jail and will appear again on January 15, 2015

The post mortem was completed in Toronto on December 22, 2014, cause of death is not being released.
