THUNDER BAY – ROAD UPDATE – Paving is set to go on Arthur Street. The eastbound lanes on Arthur Street between Edward and Ford streets will be closed for periods of Friday, Nov. 7, and Saturday, Nov. 8, to allow for repaving work.

One Westbound lane on Arthur Street will remain open both days to allow access to homes and businesses. The closure will only take place during the work period; Arthur Street will be reopened at the end of each day.

For a portion of Friday, Nov. 7, the intersection of Arthur and Edward streets will also be closed to North-South traffic due to repaving.

While the project is scheduled to be completed over the course of Nov. 7 and 8, the final scheduling is dependent on weather conditions.

Motorists are asked to use alternate routes during the construction period, if possible. If travelling on Arthur Street is necessary, please use caution and obey all posted signage.
