North Marks Street Homicide Update

THUNDER BAY – CRIME NEWS – Thunder Bay Police advise that their investigation is into the murder of 51 year old Rene Sortolova of Thunder Bay.

In a statement, Police say, “Mr. Sortolova’s death has been deemed a homicide following an autopsy examination which occurred Monday afternoon in Thunder Bay.

Rene Sortolova, Police say, was originally from El Salvador. He was a resident of Thunder Bay since the 1990’s. At the time of his murder, he lived alone in his North Marks Street residence.

The residence is being held for an extensive forensic examination. Investigators will be in the area canvasing for information regarding this crime.
