THUNDER BAY – POLITICS – Over the past several months many many of you have approached with encouragement to seek the Mayor’s chair. I usually asked in response, “Do you think this is where I may serve Thunder Bay the best?”

Your enthusiasm that I offer myself for re-election to lead Council was extremely positive. Thus, in response to huge public endorsement I will submit my name on your behalf to represent you and our great city.
My campaign will be one that practices what I preach- lean, green, clean, efficient, cost-effective, and conducted in a most honourable manner with dignity and respect.

I believe in Thunder Bay and its potential.

That is why I am running – to be the leader who can take all those good plans made by caring people and propel them into a dynamic, prosperous and respectful community.

We need to grow our City in a healthy balanced and welcoming way. Which means we encourage businesses that are sustainable and that will create serious jobs with serious wage levels.
We can surely follow a budgeting process that allows us to do things in the right way but does not produce burdersome taxes and user fees.

Many are aware of my experience , my leadership skills, and my knack for finding fair and workable solutions. This combination, when infused with my energy and determination will ensure we build the kind of City we all know we can. It just requires a team-building and team-playing leader who really understands and who has proven his capabilities under many difficult situations.

Looking back on a long record of achievements, almost always involving organizing people to address a community need I can say that I have become even better in these efforts and have even more skills to offer my community.

Thus, I ask for your help in supporting my re-election to be YOUR Mayor,

Most sincerely,

Ken Boshcoff
