THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was busy this afternoon on May Street North. Fire Rescue and Thunder Bay Police were on scene for what appears to be a fire on the roof of the home.

The incident cause May Street to be blocked off while crews dealt with the incident.

No one was hurt in the fire, the residents of the home located beside the Macs on May and Dease Streets were able to evacuate the house safely.

The home was having a new roof installed, earlier today roofers were on the job putting in new shingles.
