THUNDER BAY – Politics – Ontario New Democrat leader Andrea Horwath says that the New Democrats will look at the Budget before deciding to vote for it or not.

At a media conference in Thunder Bay Saturday morning the NDP leader did however outline a long list of items that she stated New Democrats have heard from the people of Ontario.

The New Democrat leader was criss-crossing the North on Friday, and was hampered by weather conditions that prevented her from attending the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association (NOMA) meeting in Fort Frances.

The Ontario Liberals will bring down the Ontario Budget on May 1st in Queen’s Park.

On Monday, the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, and Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources will host a press conference on the Ring of Fire.

Horwath commented that the Ontario Liberals have fumbled the ball on the Ring of Fire. “We have seen Cliffs walk away from the table in frustration, and we have seen the utter failure of the Far North Act,” commented Horwath. “If you ask Northerners straight up they will tell you the Liberals have not delivered”.

Horwath said that the move by Premier Kathleen Wynne challenging her to a Northern Leaders Debate made her “Giggle”.
