THUNDER BAY – Crime News – The Thunder Bay Police Service is congratulating Michael Biloski for being the first Constable to be sworn in at the new Thunder Bay Court House. Cst. Biloski was officially sworn in at 9:30AM this morning.

Thunder Bay Police have been busy over the past thirty-six hours.

TBPS Lay Pornography Charges

On January 6, 2014 TBPS Computer Crime Unit reviewed a referral that had been received from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Center. This referral was in regards to an investigation that initially began in Toronto.

The investigation lead to a search warrant being executed on April 14, 2014 at a residence located in the 2000 block of East Arthur Street. The search resulted in a computer, UBS stick, CD’s and SD card being seized. The examination of these items has confirmed the existence of child pornography.

On April 24, 2014, 41 year old Geoffrey Arden Filmore was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Distribution of Child Pornography. He appeared in court this morning and has been released. He will be back in court on May 20, 2014.
