Heather Brousseau states, “I chose Lakehead University for its beautiful and welcoming campus, and I liked the philosophy of Coach Curtis and his coaching staff. Many of my family members have attended Lakehead University including my older brother Mark, who wrestles as a Thunderwolf. Together, we are following in the footsteps of our aunt Trish (Pat Brousseau) who was the Lakehead female athlete of the year during the early 1970s for field hockey and basketball. My academic goal is to graduate with a degree in Kinesiology and then go on to a masters in physiotherapy. My athletic goal is to compete for a medal in the Ontario University Athletic tournament.”

Lakehead is also pleased to welcome Chris Waltner to the university.

“Lakehead was my first choice because of the smaller class sizes and the welcoming atmosphere that comes with a smaller university. I also appreciate the opportunity to train with quality wrestlers and an exceptional coaching staff. I’m looking forward to wrestling as  a Lakehead Thunderwolf,” commented Waltner.
