Police make Breach of Probation Arrest

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police have arrested a male for Breach of Probation just after 10:00 p.m. on April 27th, 2013. Thirty-two year old Tony Barnes of Murillo, Ontario was on two probation orders to not be in the company of anyone under 18 years of age. The Probation Orders stems from Possession and Accessing of Child Pornography charges in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Arrest over Child Pornography Charges

Police report that the investigation began with a report to the police of this male being seen in a care taking capacity of two young males ages two years and four years of age at the Canada Games Complex on April 26th, 2013.

Barnes has been remanded into custody at the District Jail with a May 1st, 2013 court appearance.

The investigation continues. Anyone with concerns about this individual’s contact with young people are asked to call the Thunder Bay Police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 624-8674.
