Sault Ste Marie PoliceSAULT STE MARIE – Crime – Sault Ste Marie Police report that at approximately 9:00 p.m. on 24 March 2013, police responded to a home invasion robbery in a second floor apartment at 250 Albert St. East. Officers found an elderly male who had been badly beaten and left on the floor.

Two people were seen leaving the victim’s apartment. The first suspect is a female wearing a toque and the second suspect is described as an aboriginal male with a long moustache, long dark hair in a pony tail, wearing a black jacket and blue jeans in his late 30’s to early 40’s. The male victim has been transported to hospital with severe facial injuries including a broken jaw and possible fractured arm. It is unknown what was taken from the residence. The investigation is continuing.
