THUNDER BAY – Business – The Thunder Bay region, and many places across Northwestern Ontario are witnessing a shift. That shift or what we have called ‘ The Emerging Thunder Bay ‘ is where young professionals are starting to make their mark. Thunder Bay Xerographix Inc (TBXI), the only Xerox authorized sales agent in Northern Ontario, announced its very first partner.

TBXI is a 100% locally owned, operated and managed company in Thunder Bay and has been in business for the last seven years. “We started the business from scratch back in 2006, and have seen tremendous growth ever since;” says General Manager, Dave Grady. “It is my pleasure to welcome our very first partner to the business.  This partnership will provide a major component in continued growth throughout the region.”

The company will now be owned and operated by two local young entrepreneurs.

27-year-old James Tomlinson is now a co-owner of the Thunder Bay business. Tomlinson, who has a strong background in Information Technology, working at Tbaytel and MicroAge, brings a vast array of skills to TBXI’s leading team of experts and also embodies the company mission to providing the best value customer experience available. “There are young entrepreneurs like James who are willing to invest in local businesses and build their own futures in the north,” continues Grady. “This is a great success story for our region and for young people who don’t see the opportunities in their own backyard.”

Tomlinson will take the lead in the Corporate IT department at TBXI. “I have always wanted to be able to contribute to the Thunder Bay economy through a local business. It has been a dream of mine to be able to stay in the city and raise a family, while doing something that I love, says Tomlinson. “I am thrilled that TBXI has embraced me into the business as part-owner.”

TBXI currently employs 15 people at their Thunder Bay office, and has recently expanded into the region with an office in Dryden, Ontario.

Like all growing companies TBXI is engaging on social media, you can visit their Facebook page, Follow their Twitter, or visit their website www.tbxi.com
