Our Kids Count THUNDER BAY – Chefs from Thunder Bay restaurants are sharing their best recipes to raise funds for Our Kids Count. 100% of the proceeds from the cookbook will be going to the community development project that is aimed at fostering the development of children and families in need in our city.

Heather Cranston and Johnny de Bakker are project co-ordinators. “It originally started as a way to raise more money ofr last year’s Ischkinakker Shakker,” said de Bakker. “But the project became more popular than expected, so we decided to make it a completely separate fundraiser.

The new cookbook will be available throughout the holiday season at several locations in Thunder Bay including Metro Stores, The Kitchen Nook, and Brent Park Store.

The recipes in Home Made: From their Home to Yours features recipes from many well-known local restaurants including the Hoito, Caribou, Bistro One, Lot 66 and many more.

Our Kids Count executive director Gladys Berringer commented, “I think what people will like most about Home Made is that it’s easy to follow and a perfect gift for beginners or expert cooks”.
