Hockey Action heating up in Thunder Bay – North Stars take on Dryden Ice Dogs

THUNDER BAY – Sports – Hockey action is heating up in Thunder Bay. Tonight, the Dryden Ice Dogs and Thunder Bay North Stars take to the ice at Fort William Gardens tonight at 7:30EDT for more exciting Superior International Junior Hockey League action. The Ice Dogs will present a real challenge for the North Stars. The Ice Dogs are ranked 15th overall in the Canadian Junior Hockey League.

The teams hit the Garden’s ice at 7:30, tickets are $5.00 for students and youth, and $10 for adults.

In other SIJHL action, the Minnesota Iron Rangers and the Minnesota Wilderness also battle. The Minnesota Wilderness were tabbed 10th in the rankings, which are comprised in conjunction with NHL Central Scouting, and are based upon a variety of factors including the league in which the teams belong to as well as regular season results.

This weekend, the Lakehead Thunderwolves are kicking off their home-opener. The Thunderwolves are coming off a pair of wins on the weekend, and are going to be looking to keep their winning ways going against the York Lions. Game times are 7:30PM on both Friday and Saturday nights at the Fort William Gardens.
