Crimebeat – Police issue awareness alert over incident at Grandview Mall

THUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – The Thunder Bay Police would like to make the public aware of an incident that they are currently investigating that occurred at Grandview Mall on September 2nd, 2012. At approximately 5:00PM EDT. on Sunday evening, a 14 year old male entered the washroom located between Metro and Shopper’s Drug Mart. He was approached by a male and propositioned. He was able to get himself out of the washroom and ran into the mall corridor. The youth was not injured in this incident.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male approximately 50 years of age. He is 5’9″ tall with an average build, salt and pepper hair, stubble on his face and he wears round glasses. He was seen leaving westbound from the mall entrance on a mountain bike.

Anyone with information about this incident or who this male may be is asked to call the Thunder Bay Police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 623-TIPS (8477).

The investigation continues.
