Crimebeat – Traffic investigators are looking for witnesses

police carTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – There has been another traffic accident in the city. Traffic investigators are looking for witnesses and information regarding an auto – pedestrian collision that took place early this morning at about 5:45AMEDT at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Robertson Street

A female pedestrian was crossing Robertson Street and Pacific Avenue when she was struck by an east bound Jeep type SUV on Pacific Avenue. The driver did not stop, and left the scene. The female was transported to hospital by ambulance and treated for minor injuries.

If you are the driver of this vehicle, or a vehicle involved in any similar collision, police remind you that you have an obligation to remain at the scene, and offer any assistance required. Further, any driver involved in any collision that results in any personal injury must make a report to police forthwith.

Police are requesting that anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or who may have information for investigators, to contact the Traffic Unit at 684-1226
