Thunderwolves men’s basketball team completed a sweep of their Quebec competition

MONTREAL – The Lakehead University Thunderwolves men’s basketball team completed a sweep of their Quebec competition on Friday evening, winning 83-72 over the Bishop’s Gaiters.

Lakehead was led by Ben Johnson and Ryan Thomson with 15 points each, and Venzal Russell had 14.

Bishop’s got production from Mukiya Post and Tim Hunter with 17 points apiece.

Coach Morrison was unavailable for comment after the game.

The team has previously beat the McGill Redmen and the UQAM Citadins on Wednesday and Thursday.

Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams will begin the second semester at home, January 6 and 7 versus the Western Mustangs.
