THUNDER BAY – – Midfielder Sergio Villalva scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over the Springfield Demize Friday night at Chapples Park, Thunder Bay. The one goal was enough to improve the Chill’s Premeir Development League (PDL) seasonal record to five wins and one loss.
Demize goalkeeper, Kyle Hoard, was the star of the night, keeping his team in the game with several stellar saves. However, the Chill finally broke through in the 86th minute when Sicelo Buthelezi provided Villalva with the service that led to the winning goal.
The teams will have a rematch tomorrow night, Saturday, June 18th, 2011, kicking off at 7:30 p.m. (EDT) at Chapples Park.
