Thunder Bay Fire Rescue Puts Down Fire on Carl Avenue

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue on April 21, 2020, at approximately 07:45 am received a call for a Structural Fire located on the 200 block of Carl Ave.

The two occupants were alerted to the fire in the rear of the structure. The two individuals escaped the structure sustaining no injuries.

First responding units arriving observed a large amount of smoke and flames emanating from the structure. A second alarm was called for at that time. A total of 5 Pumpers, Platoon Chief and an Ariel Ladder Unit were called to the scene.

First arriving units brought the fire quickly under control using a transitional attack that was located in the rear of the structure. A search of the building determined there were no other occupants inside the structure.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue would like to remind the public that smoke alarms save lives.
