Open to the Public on New Years Day

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay turns 50 years old on January 1st.

Her Honour the Hon. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will celebrate the New Year in the company of Ontarians along with the Mayor of Thunder Bay, Bill Mauro.

The Lieutenant Governor’s 2020 New Year’s Levee will take place on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the O’Kelly VC Armoury in Thunder Bay. All are welcome. The New Year’s Levee is a unique chance for the public to meet Her Majesty’s representative in Ontario, learn about the Lieutenant Governor’s role and responsibilities, and enjoy local entertainment. This year, the Levee will celebrate Thunder Bay’s 50th anniversary as a city.

This event is suitable for children and adults. RSVPs are not necessary.
