Five Schools in Hold and Secure Protocol

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – UPDATE – 2 – Hammarskjold, Superior, Algonquin, CD Howe and St. James Schools are in a hold and secure protocol this morning. Officials with Lakehead Board of Education report that the issue is that Thunder Bay Police received information about a Hammarskjold High School student over the weekend that has them concerned.

Hold and Secure Update
The precautionary Hold and Secure has been lifted at:

Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute
Ecole Gron Morgan Public School
Algonquin Avenue Public School
CD Howe Public School
St. James Public School

As a precaution, the hold and secure remains at Hammarskjold High School.

UPDATE – Hold and Secure
This morning, Lakehead Public Schools received information from Thunder Bay Police with concerns about a Hammarskjold High School Student.

As a PRECAUTION, the following schools are in a hold and secure:
Hammarskjold High School
Superior Collegiate and Vocational Institute
Ecole Gron Morgan Public School
Algonquin Avenue Public School
CD Howe Public School
St. James Public School

Police are on site at Hammarskjold High School.

All doors are locked and classes at all schools will continue as usual.
