Sioux Lookout OPP Lay Weapons Charges

SIOUX LOOKOUT – On October 12, 2017 the Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a Sioux Lookout male following a report of a man carrying weapons on Highway 642.

As a result of the investigation, Warren BARTLEY (36) of Sioux Lookout is charged with the following;

  • Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code (2 counts)
  • Possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon at unauthorized place contrary to section 93(c) of the Criminal Code (4 counts)
  • Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm contrary to section 95(a) of the Criminal Code.

He was remanded into custody on Friday, October 13, 2017, and will appear in Bail Court in Sioux Lookout on Monday, October 16, 2017.
