A Northwestern Ontario morning started the day at Fort William Historical ParkTHUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Chartered Professional Accountant and prominent business leader Brent Maranzan, CPA, CA, has been re-elected President of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario’s Northwestern Ontario District CPA Association. The District Association is the CPA profession’s local presence and organizes activities that benefit local Chartered Professional Accountants and the community at large.

In addition to helping to serve, represent and provide fellowship among local CPAs, the District Association also helps bring CPA Ontario’s many programs to its members, while also organizing important community events, such as tax clinics for people with low incomes.

Brent Maranzan is a Senior Planning and Integration Consultant at the North West Local Health Integration Network in Thunder Bay. Brent Maranzan has been working in healthcare administration since leaving public practice in 2006 and has attained a Masters Degree in Public Health.

“As CAs continue to diversify in their roles, it’s critical that they have a strong link to each other, CPA Ontario and the community. This is the increasingly important role of the DA,” says Brent. “I’m proud to be the DA President.”
