OPP OPP Ontario Provincial PoliceTHUNDER BAY – Updated – Dryden OPP now advise that the highway is re-opened. There have been no further details released on the fatality. – The OPP advise that the Trans-Canada Highway west from Shabequa Corners to Ignace and from Ignace to Thunder Bay is currently closed. A motor vehicle accident which has resulted in one fatality has caused the closure. OPP in Dryden advise that the accident is under investigation, and that the highway is going to be closed for some time. 

More details will come later.

If you are heading west from Thunder Bay, you can choose Highway 11, and head to Fort Frances. It is unknown as of 12:30EDT if the route north on Highway 622 is impacted.
