THUNDER BAY – Habitat for Humanity in Thunder Bay and Marathon Ontario are celebrating World Habitat Day on October 7th. They will be holding two very special home dedications. One in Thunder Bay and the other in Marathon.
Habitat for Humanity Thunder Bay is thrilled to announce that the organization will welcome Habitat for Humanity Canada, Chief Operating Office, Mark Rodgers in Thunder Bay and Marathon, on World Habitat Day.
Four Habitat home dedications will be celebrated in the region on October 7th, 2013, which has been officially declared World Habitat by the United Nations General Assembly. This is a time to recognize the basic need for adequate shelter in a world where it’s lacking for so many.

World Habitat day marks grass root action throughout the world, starting in Thunder Bay and Marathon.
Since its inception in 1994, Habitat has constructed 23 homes; giving 59 children in Thunder Bay homes of their own and hope for the future.
