Fury B Head to Women’s Hockey Finals in TO

TORONTO – SPORTS – TBWHA’s Fury B won their semi-final game this morning (Sunday) at the Ontario Women’s Hockey Provincial Championships in Toronto.

The game was hard fought with the first goal being scored by Emma Albertson from Fury with a hard pass from Rachel Chambers at 8:04 in the 2nd period to go up 1. West Oxford battled back with a goal with 12 seconds left in the 2nd period to tie the game. The game continued with many scoring opportunities on both sides in the 3rd having the game finish regulation play tied 1-1. Overtime saw 9 mins of intense action before at 3:37 Albertson found the back of the net for the 2nd time in the game with a helper from Caitlyn Yesno-Linklater sending Thunder Bay Fury into the gold medal game. Game time 2 pm against St Huron Sabres.
