Tbaytel for Good Community Fund Returns with $30,000 for Northern Ontario

Tbaytel Awards Community Funding to Local and Regional Projects

Thunder Bay, Ont. (April 6, 2026) – Tbaytel is once again calling on Northern Ontario’s visionaries to apply for the Tbaytel For Good Community Fund. Starting today, $30,000 is on the table to help transform local visions into reality. From April 6th, 2026, until 4:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026, Tbaytel invites teachers, students, parents, volunteers, not-for-profit organizations, coaches, community members, associations, and all individuals from its service area to apply for funding to help improve their communities through projects, ideas, or initiatives.

I am constantly inspired by the local leadership we see, and I’m thrilled that Tbaytel can play a role in bringing vital community visions to life.”

The Tbaytel For Good Community Fund continues to make a lasting impact. Since 2013, we have awarded $396,434 to 113 projects across 25 Northern Ontario communities. Following a record year in 2024, the fund saw another incredible turnout in 2025 with 59 new submissions, bringing our all-time total to 666 applications.

The Tbaytel For Good Community Fund is designed to support a wide variety of initiatives, from program-based ideas to upgrades for equipment or facilities. Grants of up to $10,000 per submission are available, providing funding opportunities for projects of all sizes. To apply, applicants are encouraged to submit a project that will benefit their community, include a project description, budget and record a 60-second video describing the project, and complete the online application by 4:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026. A diverse panel of community judges will review all entries, and the winners will be announced on June 19th, 2026.

Applicants must be located within Tbaytel’s serving area in Northern Ontario, and projects should align with the goal of improving community spaces, services, or programs.
