CWE storms back into Thunder Bay with Austin Aries, steel cage chaos and a stacked fight card
THUNDER BAY — Canadian Wrestling’s Elite is set to bring the noise back to Thunder Bay on Friday, March 27, with The Rage In The Cage Tour rolling into Moose Hall for a night built around championship stakes, hard-hitting grudge matches and a featured appearance by WWE alumnus Austin Aries.
For local wrestling fans, it is a rare chance to catch a major independent card in Thunder Bay with veteran star power and a steel cage main event on the same bill.
Steel cage headlines a loaded Thunder Bay return
The main event is set to lock the door and raise the pressure as new CWE champion “The Crazy MoFo” CAM!!ikaze defends the title against former champion “Chizzled” Chad Daniels inside a steel cage.
That match alone gives the Thunder Bay stop a true main-event feel, with the championship on the line and nowhere to run once the bell sounds. In wrestling terms, this is the kind of bout designed to settle a score the hard way.
Austin Aries brings marquee power to the card
One of the biggest attractions of the night will see “Red Hot” Sammy Peppers take on Austin Aries, the former WWE star and former TNA and ROH world champion.
For Thunder Bay fans, Aries’ appearance adds instant name recognition to the event and gives the card a big-fight feel. A veteran known across multiple major promotions, Aries brings a national and international profile that should make this one of the night’s most anticipated matches.
Heavy hitters and tag champions add depth to the lineup
The rest of the card is built to keep the pace high.
“The Monster” BRAX is scheduled to square off against seven-time CWE champion “Hotshot” Danny Duggan in a matchup that promises power and experience.
“The Canadian Crusher” AJ Sanchez will meet CWE tag team champion Danny Diggler, while “The Rebel” Bobby Collins is set to face fellow tag team champion Derek Diggler.
Chris Krumps is also set to host the event, with additional matches and appearances expected as part of the show.

Thunder Bay gets a full-scale wrestling night
For Northwestern Ontario wrestling fans, this card offers a little bit of everything — a steel cage championship clash, a major guest star, returning CWE names and the kind of live crowd atmosphere that only works when the punches, slams and stare-downs are happening a few feet away.
On March 27, Thunder Bay is set for a night where the lights go up, the music hits and the ring becomes the centre of attention.
