Police seeking security and dashcam video from Walsh Street East corridor

THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay Police Service says officers are investigating a homicide on the city’s south end after responding to a call in the Hall Place area on the evening of March 1, 2026.

Police report that a deceased male was located at the scene. The Thunder Bay Police Service Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation, which remains ongoing.

Investigators request video footage

Police are asking residents and drivers to check home security cameras, business surveillance, and dashcam recordings for the period between:

  • February 22, 2026 and March 1, 2026

The requested area is:

  • Walsh Street East, between Edward Street South and Tarbutt Street South
